IN MY HALLWAY SERIES
Displaced from my old studio for financial reasons - anxiety flooded through me.
But as any artist will attest to.... It is in those moments - the moments when you face uncertainty, the moments when you face your fears and the moment when there is nothing left to loose.
You find nourishment within your work.
Out of necessity came "In My Hallway Series".
The only space that I had left to create my art was my darkroom and the very narrow hallway that lead to it became my studio.
No more than 4 and a half feet wide and 8 feet long - I would coax my subjects to enter space. At first, uncertainty enters their minds and all comforts such as personal space, their cellphones, their bags are stripped away since there is no room in the set for them.
Now they are placed into a mindset of art artist - compelled to make art.
Portrait commissions welcomed.
