WHO WERE YOU?
Who Were you? is a collaborative video piece that was created with stills from Portraits in the time of Social Distancing and comments from the subject. After taking the portraits of my sitters in my work Portraits in a Time of Social Distancing, I would send my sitter a jpg of their portrait as a thank you followed with a question to answer: “Who were you?”. Using ZOOM as my video camera I would record the responses of my sitters answer to the question as a comment in the chat feature of ZOOM atop their still photo from Portraits in the Time of Social Distancing. The video is a witnessing of a passing and fixing of time.
